On the back of the unit you can see the power supply area and the audio section. Sowter transformers are used throughout. Hovland capacitors have also been used together with the Clarity Cap SA range in this production model, Hovlands are fitted as standard, but the Clarity Cap SA range may change. Jensen paper & oil capacitors are fitted as standard in the original HT power supply section. A 5651 voltage referance Glow tube provides accurate regulation with very little shift in voltage with temperature. These cold cathodes are designed to produce a constant and repeatable voltage that remains stable over time. This was the most popular American reference tube ever made and they glow too! |
